This is a blog that should have gotten started years ago. When should I have started blogging? In 2004 when we started looking for houses in Florida? In 2006 when we closed on our house in Florida? Or in 2010 when we moved down to Florida full-time? Like I said, this is long overdue.
My name is Sue. Most of my vacations growing up where to visit my mother's family in Florida. In the back of my mind I always thought it would be nice to live here. (I'm not a big cold weather fan.) I got remarried in 2010 and my husband and I moved down to Florida full-time. For the first six months, we were on vacation. After that, he went back to work full-time, I went back to work part-time, but that didn't stop our adventures. We loved adventures living up north and we love them just as much down here.
Local friends are always asking where they can go for a day trip. Or where they can take visitors to really show them the local area. I get requests for restaurant recommendations. This blog will give you the insiders view into what our adventures are all about. It will also hopefully persuade others that Citrus County isn't a bad place to visit - or to retire to!
